ANDALUSIA PRESENTS THE BIOECONOMY CLUSTER IN A EUROPEAN FORUM
The development of Andalusian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster was one of the experiences exhibited in the 2nd meeting of the thematic group Integration of the bioeconomy organized within the framework of the European Network for Rural Development. At this meeting, the Andalusian representative, Eduardo Serrano, detailed the different phases addressed for the start-up of the cluster, as well as highlighted the relevance of involving the stakeholders and collecting the necessary financial resources.
After the launch meeting of the Andalusian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster, which included an expression of interest and the participants explaining the different forms of participation and the range of contributions, 36 entities expressed interest in the cluster part, of which 21 are willing to contribute with financial support.
After that, a preliminary technical office, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, developed the concept and the plan of a feasibility model that includes a draft of the statutes of an association, as a legal entity, documents that are currently is in the discussion phase.
The next steps will include the legal constitution of the association of parties as an association, which will sign an agreement with the regional administration to establish a framework for collaboration. And in the last phase, we will work for the consolidation of the cluster with a clear and viable structure of the cost-income and a complete catalog of services.
