Andalusian entities and associations support the creation of the region cluster
More than 30 entities and associations participated in the meeting held by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of Andalusia to advance in the implementation of the Andalusian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster, a working group aimed to promoting competitiveness and the development of the bioeconomy at a regional level through the promotion of sinergies, innovative projects and cooperation for the entrepreneurship in this area.
During the presentation of the event, the Viceminister of Agriculture, Ana Corredera, emphasised the necessity to think “out-of-the-box” about "a new way of producing, but also of consuming". Therefore, the Regional Administration is promoting a new economic model supported by a future Circular Economy Law and the already approved Andalusian Circular Bioeconomy Strategy, a pioneering document in Spain. The Viceminister assured that there is a "solid commitment from the Regional Ministry to advance in the constitution of this cluster."
The Andalusian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster will have an extensive service letter designed to cover the needs of the entities participating; from the communication and dissemination of the sector, the promotion of bioeconomy startups, the promotion of cooperation R&D projects until the identification of gaps in the bioeconomy sector in the region. Besides, Andalucía Agrotech Digital Innovation Hub will be in charge of offering assistance in digitalisation.
The meeting also served to make public the statutes of the Innovative Business Association for the Development of the Circular Bioeconomy in Andalusia that will be responsible for the management of this cluster.
The meeting ended with a debate and contributions from the attendees to the questions raised during the event.
