Better governance for a Mediterranean Green Deal
The PANORAMED paper entitled "Better governance for a Mediterranean Green Deal" has recently been published as a result of a collective reflection exercise on the occasion of Interreg MED annual event 2020, focused on governance issues.
This new PANORAMED document consists of a balance of the actions undertaken during the first three years of implementation of the PANORAMED project and proposes ideas and recommendations for the way forward.
The drafting of the document has been coordinated by the Italian Region of Emilia-Romagna with the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya and adapted with the contributions of other partners such as the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of Croatia or that of the Italian Region of Tuscany, the General Secretariat of the Sea of France, the Région Sud, Provence Alpes de la Côte d'Azur (France) and the Jožef Stefan Institute (Slovenia). On the other hand, the six strategic projects of Interreg MED have also participated: B-BLUE, BEST MED, BLUE BIO MED, MED OSMoSIS, SHAREMED, SMARTMED. One of these projects is BLUE BIO MED, in which Andalusia is a partner and to which the rest of the MED regions of Spain also allocate.
Within this document, PANORAMED partners, associates, horizontal projects and strategic projects reflect together on the intermediate results of Interreg MED 2020-2024, with a focus on the design and activities of PANORAMED.
It should be noted that the document provides short and long-term recommendations to improve the governance of the Mediterranean in the fields of coastal and maritime tourism, maritime surveillance and innovation. Finally, it takes stock of current actions in order to support the new priorities for the next programming period (2021-2027) and outlines the way forward.
