Presentation of the Scientific Journal C3-BIOECONOMY
On January 15th, the presentation of the ceiA3 scientific journal: C3-BIOECONOMY: Circular and Sustainable Bioeconomy, of which the first issue was published this January 2021, took place.
The event was held online, through the ceiA3 website, with the participation of the Chancellor from the University of Córdoba and president of the ceiA3, Mr. José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, the Vice-chancellor for Research and Territorial Development of the UCO and General Coordinator of the ceiA3, Mr. Enrique Quesada Moraga and the Professor of the UCO and Researcher of the ceiA3, Dr Julio Berbel Vecino.
This annual magazine has been launched from the Campus of International Excellence in Agrifood, ceiA3, within the framework of the importance of the bioeconomy with the collaboration of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, IICA.
This international journal of innovation in circular and sustainable bioeconomy focuses specifically on the agri-food and forestry field, with a multisectoral vocation, and therefore accepts works that deal with biotechnology and bioproducts, biorefineries, sustainability, water, circular economy and the economic aspects of these sectors, with special emphasis from the business and academic sectors.
In general, it will include scientific articles, preferably written in English and Spanish, on innovation topics in food, agriculture and forestry, and bioproducts and bioprocesses related to the agri-food and forestry sector and bioeconomy success stories.
The first issue of the magazine presents articles on the bioeconomy and its impact and sustainable development strategies, bioeconomy policies, the INNOVAGRO network and success stories on the revalorisation of by-products of La Caña Group and the ceiA3 Strategy.
