IFAPA will coordinate a session about Circular Bioeconomy in Congress of Agrifood Economics
The Andalusian Institute of Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training (IFAPA), with the support of the Andalusian Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of Junta de Andalucía, will participate in XIII Congress of the Spanish Association of Agrifood Economics that will be held in Cartagena from September 1st-3rd.
IFAPA will coordinate the session "The role of agri-food economics in the development of the circular bioeconomy", with the objective of discussing the development of the circular bioeconomy in Spain and Europe, and how agrifood economics can contribute to its development through the generation of new scientific and technical knowledge. In this session, studies focusing on different aspects of the circular bioeconomy carried out from the perspective of the economic analysis will be presented, with a particular attention made on determinants of entrepreneurship, consumers preferences, innovation dissemination, and policy analysis. There will also be a "Multi-stakeholder roundtable about knowledge needs within the field of agri-food economics and policy for the development of the circular bioeconomy", moderated by José A. Gómez-Limón (Professor of Financial Economics, University of Cordoba); and whose purpose will be to discuss the most relevant knowledge gaps to which the agri-food economy must respond to promote the development of this new business sector.
